Marjorie and Randall Joseph Wedding

  • Marjorie and Randall Wedding

June 9th, 2018 ~ An old friend of ours that we haven’t met up with in a very long time, was to be married and we were invited. She had no formal photographer present and Tonia offered up my services, which I was more that happy to oblige. The albums below depict the events that happened through the joyous occasion.

Crabtree Nature Center

April 29th, 2017 ~ (Full Album Here)  Another photography meetup outing to try to capture spring wildflowers at the Crabtree Nature Center. Tonia and Mattie went with me but the day was gray, cold and windy as heck. Temperatures was in the mid 40’s much colder with windchill I’m sure. We trekked a good 2 miles or so around the trails and took photos as we went.

Bluff Spring Fen

April 15th, 2017 ~ (Full Album Here) Went on a photography meetup to Bluff Spring Fen. It’s a preserve that the only way to get entry to it, is through a cemetery. The following excerpt is taken from the meetup site: “Surrounded by industrial neighbors in the westernmost part of Cook County—and once a dumping site and gravel quarry itself—160-acre Bluff Spring Fen is named for its rare fen, a type of wetland fed by mineral-rich springs. The spring water stays a constant 50 degrees, so streams flow year-round, supporting an unusual assortment of plants and animals adapted to these steady, alkaline conditions. The fen itself is surrounded by a patchwork of wetlands, prairies, savannas and woodlands, including several kames, gravelly hills left by the glaciers. With the only entrance to this hide-away through the winding roads of Bluff City Cemetery, tranquility is as plentiful as the birds. This Illinois Nature Preserve is part of a larger 225-acre area of green space managed by the City of Elgin, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County and the Forest Preserve District of Kane County.”

Springbreak – Walker Stalker Heroes and Villians Fan Fest

March 25th, 2017 ~ (Full Album Here) All the grandkids had springbreak at the same time this year. As a treat, we took them all to the Fan Fest which included a Walker Stalker convention along side a Heroes and Villians. To top it all off, everyone got to meet and greet Jeffrey Dean Morgan a.k.a. Negan in the AMC series of the Walking Dead. Unfortunately no photo op but an autograph and a handshake with a few shared words in-between.
